My Story
I’m Tran Satter, and I’m running for HLPUSD Board of Education in Trustee Area 4. I first became involved in education as a parent advocating for my own children, including my child with special needs. That experience taught me how important it is for every student to have access to the support and opportunities they need to succeed, and for every family to know their voice matters.
Through my involvement at both the school and district level, I’ve developed a much broader understanding of the challenges facing our schools. I care deeply about student achievement, safe and welcoming campuses, supporting and retaining great staff, meaningful parent engagement, and making sure special education students are never an afterthought. I also believe strong leadership means being transparent, fiscally responsible, addressing enrollment challenges, and making thoughtful governance decisions that keep students at the center.
I’m not running to represent one group of students. I’m running because I believe every student deserves to be seen, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive, and every family deserves a voice in the decisions that affect their children.
Mi Historia
Soy Tran Satter y me postulo para la Junta de Educación de HLPUSD en el Área Fiduciaria 4. Mi participación en la educación comenzó como madre, abogando por las necesidades de mis propios hijos, incluyendo a uno de mis hijos con necesidades especiales. Esa experiencia me enseñó lo importante que es que cada estudiante tenga acceso al apoyo y las oportunidades que necesita para salir adelante, y que cada familia sepa que su voz importa.
A través de mi participación tanto a nivel escolar como distrital, he adquirido una comprensión mucho más amplia de los retos que enfrentan nuestras escuelas. Me importa profundamente el éxito académico de nuestros estudiantes, contar con escuelas seguras y acogedoras, apoyar y conservar a buenos maestros y personal, fomentar una participación significativa de los padres de familia y asegurar que los estudiantes de educación especial nunca sean dejados de lado. También creo que un buen liderazgo significa ser transparente, manejar los recursos de manera responsable, enfrentar los desafíos relacionados con la disminución de la matrícula y tomar decisiones responsables que siempre mantengan a los estudiantes como prioridad.
No me postulo para representar únicamente a un grupo de estudiantes. Me postulo porque creo que cada estudiante merece ser visto, apoyado y tener la oportunidad de salir adelante. Y creo que cada familia merece que su voz sea escuchada en las decisiones que afectan la educación y el futuro de sus hijos.

我是Tran Satter, 现参选 Hacienda La Puente Unified School District（哈岗拉普恩特联合学区）第4选区学区委员。
我是第一代的越南裔美国人, 也是一名职场人士。
但更重要的是，我也是一位母亲 - 我的两个儿子都就读于本学区，其中一个孩子是一名特殊教育学生。
对特殊教育的关注，是我开始参与社区发声的起点，但绝不是我对教育事业承诺的终点。
为人父母让我深深体会到，家庭需要拥有在学区的话语权，学生需要得到他们真正需要的支持，以及让学校系统真正倾听民意，是多么的重要。
这些经历塑造了我心目中一个理想的学区委员形象 - 愿意为社区中的每一位学生、每一个家庭发声和服务！
我对您的承诺很简单：
我会倾听。
我会学习。
我会付诸行动，并贯彻到底。
最重要的是，我永远不会忘记，在担任学区委员的同时意味着我在为您服务！
当我担任学区委员时，我所服务的对象，就是你们每一位家长、每一位学生，以及我们共同的社区。
今年11月，我诚挚地希望能够得到您的支持。
让我们一起，为我们的孩子创造一个更好的未来，
也一起为孩子们的未来带来真正的改变。

Xin chào quý phụ huynh học sinh Việt Nam tai Học Khu 4 Hacienda La Puente!
Tôi tên là Bảo Trân Satter và là mẹ của hai cháu trai đang theo học tại Học khu Hacienda La Puente. Một cháu có nhu cầu giáo dục đặc biệt.
Tôi là người Mỹ gốc Việt thuộc thế hệ thứ nhất và đang tranh cử vào Hội đồng Giáo dục của Học khu Hacienda La Puente – Khu vực 4!.
Giáo dục đặc biệt là nơi khởi đầu cho những nỗ lực vận động của tôi, nhưng đó không phải là điểm dừng cho cam kết của tôi.
Vai trò làm mẹ đã cho tôi thấy những khó khăn con em chúng ta đang trải nghiệm tai trường học như trường hợp về. Chúng cũng cho tôi thất tầm quan trọng của việc các gia đình Việt Nam chúng ta cần có tiếng nói chung để bầy tỏ những nhu cầu thiết thực đến Học khu Haciends La Puente để Học Khu có thể xếp ưu tiên, đáp ứng và hỗ trợ con em và gia đình chúng ta.
Những bài học này đã định hình phong cách làm việc mà tôi mong muốn hướng tới khi trở thành thành viên của hội đồng giáo dục, vì lợi ích của mọi học sinh và mọi gia đình trong cộng đồng chúng ta!
Cam kết của tôi với quý phụ huynh rất đơn giản.
Tôi sẽ lắng nghe. Tôi sẽ học hỏi. Tôi sẽ thực hiện đến cùng. Và trên hết, tôi sẽ không bao giờ quên rằng việc phục vụ trong Hội đồng Giáo dục này đồng nghĩa với việc tôi đang phục vụ cho con em chúng ta và cho chính quý vị phụ huynh!
Vì vậy, vào tháng 11 bầu cử sắp tới, tôi rất mong nhận được sự ủng hộ của quý vị để chúng ta cùng tạo ra sự thay đổi cho tương lai giáo dục của con em chúng ta!
